Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in Gardner, KS
The only wellness-focused HBOT in southern Johnson County, offered as part of a comprehensive root-cause care approach.

What Is HBOT?
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a non-invasive therapy that saturates your blood plasma, cells, tissues, and organs with oxygen using increased atmospheric pressure. Breathing in a pressurized chamber allows the lungs to absorb significantly more oxygen than normal, which is then carried throughout the body to support tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and accelerate the healing process.
How Our HBOT Is Different
Most HBOT in the Kansas City area is offered through hospitals and focuses primarily on wound care. Our approach is different.
At Root Function Health, HBOT is offered both as part of an overall care plan and as a standalone service. We also welcome referrals from other chiropractors for HBOT and nutritional support. We combine it with diagnostic testing, nutritional support, and chiropractic care to address the underlying factors contributing to your health concerns.
What to Expect During a Session
We believe in being upfront about what the experience is actually like:
You will sit inside a soft hyperbaric chamber. Let us know if you have claustrophobia concerns and we will talk through strategies before your session.
Your ears will pop as the pressure increases, similar to an airplane. Yawning or swallowing helps.
Sessions are quiet. Many patients read, listen to music or podcasts, or simply rest.
Session length varies depending on your presentation and treatment goals.
Most patients find it relaxing once they are settled in.
